Event dress code:

Requiem:

Wear what you want on the 19th, evening wear on the 20th.

While evening wear is expected on the 20th, we all full well understand if players don’t want to go out and buy the appropriate clothing, or bring it from abroad.  So if you don’t own evening wear, or a nice dress or nice suit, then casual chic will work just as well.  Just make it obvious you’ve done the effort ;)

Lost:

Again we don’t expect players to go buy an elaborate costume, or drag along a lot of kit from abroad.  However, it is expected to at least wear something in the correct colour of your court because it makes it a lot easier for people as Lost is a pretty visual game.  A t-shirt will suffice.

Price: € 2 for the Leuven Requiem game, and € 10 for the castle games (both are included in that price).

e.g. if you play the Leuven game and Lost, you pay € 12

If you play both Requiem games, you pay € 12

If you play all 3 games, you pay € 12

If you just play one or both conclave games, you pay € 10

If you just play Requiem Leuven, you pay € 2

Belgian members and Belgian players that aren’t members can make payment via wire transfer on the Camarilla Belgium account (001-2948763-39) with your name + national 2008 in the subject line.   Payment must be made before September 15.

Foreign members can either pay via paypal (which is preferred) on hildekitten@gmail.com (paypal email) or pay the money in Euros in cash on the evening of the 19th of September.  Someone from the national staff will sit in on check in at the Leuven game to deal with money for the castle games.

Contact:

National coordinator: Bert Van den Wyngaert: ncbelgium@gmail.com

ANC: Hilde Heyvaert: ravenloft_666@yahoo.com

It is always best to mail us both as that guarantees the fastest response.

Transportation:

Visitors have to find their own transportation (to Belgium if travelling from abroad) and the city of Leuven and/or to Schoten (which is very close to Antwerp).

Transport from both Brussels-Airport (Zaventem) and the Eurostar departure/arrivals station of Brussels-South is VERY easy by train.  And Hilde (whose contact email is mentioned above) can be contacted if you require train hours to Leuven and/or Antwerp.  So if you drop her a line, she’ll tell you what time to take a train and to where.

This service is only for trains within Belgium.  You will be responsible to check for hours within your own country.

Transportation trips will be arranged between the venues and several cities.  Belgian Camarilla players are to organise their own transport as they usual do when visiting games in another city.  Foreign guests can just drop Hilde a line (or ask other Belgian players they know) if they need transport to a game venue.

e.g. U.K. player X has booked a hotel in Antwerp for Friday and Saturday night and needs a ride to the Leuven game and the castle of Schoten.  Hilde will then put out an all call on the relevant lists to find people that can pick player X up and drop him back off after the games.

Please note that players might have to take trains and other forms of public transport at some point to cover some distances as Belgian players that drive generally have to deal with jobs etc as well and might not be available early on during the day.

For those that wonder how to reach a venue we advise using http://www.mappy.be ;)

The Camarilla Belgium does not organise or book any sort of transportation other than organising rides as described above.  You will thus have to book your own flights/train tickets etc.

Staying in Leuven and/or Antwerp:

Hotel: Camarilla Belgium regrettably can NOT book hotels for foreign visitors.  Neither venue has sleeping accommodation available.  Therefore, visitors that wish to stay in a hotel will have to make their own arrangements.

We do have these handy links for you which should facilitate booking your stay:

Crash space: there is a limited amount of crash space available. Please contact Hilde about that if you prefer to stay at a local player’s house as she’s keeping track of this.

Photography: it is of course allowed to take photos.  Provided the game is NOT disturbed.

Make-up: people playing an NPC are allowed to use make-up provided by the Camarilla Belgium.  People playing a PC are to bring their own make-up.  If you require make-up for your character and you don’t have it, drop a line on the ooc list and ask if someone will bring it for you.

Other information: food and drink is available at both venues, but the menu is limited.  Therefore we advise to have dinner beforehand.

A first aid kit is present at the game, and we have members that are qualified first aiders, should something go wrong.

Please fill in the registration form and send it to Hilde AND Bert before the 15th of September!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line.

No touching rule

The no touching rule is in effect, so no non-concentual physical contact that goes further than shaking hands please.  If you’re not certain a member is ok with physical contact, ask them first.

We also ask players to be mindful of other’s personal space.

General rules

The CoC is in effect as are the Camarilla rules per the latest global addendum as is the Belgian Membership handbook.

Gamer etiquette

We can NOT stress this enough.

It’s the little things that matter and that make everything so much more enjoyable for others.
